On behalf of the Australasian Genomic Technologies Association (AGTA) conference organising committee and AGTA executive we warmly invite you to the 19th Annual AGTA conference to be held at the Pullman Hotel, Albert Park, Melbourne from October 7-9, 2019.
In 2019 the AGTA conference returns to Melbourne where it all began in 2001. From the early days of microarrays in 2001 when Australian scientists were given their first glimpse at genome-wide transcription in cells and tissues we can now rapidly DNA sequence entire genomes, deeply interrogate RNA expression and profile epigenetic landscapes at single nucleotide resolution and even in individual cells. What a journey it has been and what a truly amazing time it is now to be doing research.
At this year’s AGTA conference we will provide an opportunity to hear from some of the brightest national and international researchers and how they are applying genomic technologies in their chosen fields of research including plant science, clinical and population genetics, cancer, metagenomics and single cell innovation. Furthermore, we provide a relaxed environment for our genomics community to meet, exchange ideas and share their own discoveries. Importantly, we also highly value and foster the interaction between our industry sponsors and academic delegates as we learn about the latest breakthrough technologies from the leading life science vendors.
AGTA 2019 will be held in the heart of the Melbourne close to the open green spaces of Albert Park and close to the iconic and vibrant centre of St Kilda. It promises to be a great meeting and we truly hope you can join us.
