Sunshine Coast banking hours are generally 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Some of the major Australian banks such as Commonwealth and Westpac also operate from 9:30am – 1:00pm on Saturdays, usually in Malls and Shopping Centres.
Please note that Twin Waters is a 13-minute drive from Maroochydore.

Uber – Ride sharing site UBER offers uberX, and UberBLACK to and from Sunshine Coast Airport. Simply download the Uber app for iOS, Android or Windows and request a ride. Uber is a cashless service and payment is made directly through the app. It is a good idea to download the app in advance.
At Sunshine Coast Airport, request your ride when you’re ready to walk outside, exit the terminal and follow the signs to the Ride Share pickup area.

Taxi – Sunshine Coast Airport is approximately 5km from the Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort. Please allow around 10-15 minutes. Taxi fares vary depending on when you travel.

Dress code for the conference and social functions is smart casual or informal business.

It is suggested that delegates arrive at preferred sessions promptly to ensure a seat. If sessions become full then late delegates will not be allowed entry.
All delegates, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors will be provided with a name badge, which must be worn at all times within the conference venue, as it is required for access to all the conference sessions and social functions.
Please collect your name badge at the conference registration desk.
Delegates will have access to WiFi for the duration of the conference. Please note that movies, music or illicit downloads are restricted. It is not designed for accessing VPNs or downloading large files.
In the lead-up to the Conference small updates will be made to the program. See the latest version on the website. Any changes to the Conference program during the Conference will be announced during housekeeping notices each morning. You may also check with Leishman Associates staff at the registration desk.
Delegates are not permitted to use any type of camera or recording device at any of the sessions unless written permission has been obtained from the relevant speaker.
A photographer will be taking photos throughout the conference. These photos will be available from the conference website shortly after the event or from Leishman Associates, the Conference Managers.
If you do not wish to have your photo taken and or published in future marketing material and/or please advise the registration desk staff and the photographer if you are approached for a photo.
Unfortunately, there will be no family room or baby sitting facilities in the conference venue.
The members of the conference organising committee and Leishman Associates accept no liability for personal accident of loss or damage suffered by any participant, accompanying person, invited observer or any other person by whatever means. Nor do we accept liability for any equipment or software brought to the conference by delegates, speakers, sponsors or any other party. Please protect your personal property. Do not leave laptops, cameras, and other valuable items unsecured. Be conscious of individuals who appear out of place and do not wear a conference name badge. Advise Leishman Associates staff if this does not occur.
Registration & Social Functions
Full Registration
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea is provided each day. All food at each social function is included, if you are attending. Full registration also includes attendance to all conference sessions from 30 Oct – 2 Nov 2022. The Welcome Reception is included in Full Registration types. The Conference Dinner is not included in any registration type, tickets can be purchased at an additional cost.
Day Registration
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea is provided only for the day you have registered. Day Registration also includes attendance to all conference sessions on the day you are registered. Day Registration does not include tickets to any social functions, tickets can be purchased at an additional cost
The venue will be advised of any special diet preferences you have indicated on your registration form.
A special buffet table will be set aside in the trade exhibition area for dietary requirements.

The Conference Dinner is an additional cost dependent upon which dinner option you select. Upon registration for the AGTA 2022 Conference, you will receive a registration confirmation which will list all social functions you are registered for. Speaker, Chairperson or Poster Presenter
Chairpersons will receive an email prior to the Conference, reminding them of their responsibilities. If you are a chairperson and do not receive this, or have additional questions, please contact Sharon at Leishman Associates (03 6234 7844)
All speakers should present themselves to the Plenary Room, at least 2 hours before their scheduled presentation time, to upload their presentation. A technician will be present in the plenary room during registration hours. There will be facility to test and modify your presentation as required.
Speakers are requested to assemble in their session room 5 minutes before the commencement of their session, to meet with their session chair and to familiarise themselves with the room and the audio-visual equipment. For information on the chairperson attending your session, please see the registration desk.
There is no speaker preparation room. To ensure a smooth running program, all speakers should upload their final presentation to the technician in the plenary room. This should be completed at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled presentation time.
Accommodation
You can book your accommodation through the online registration form or by emailing Leishman Associates. You will be asked to provide your check-in and check-out date as well as your credit card details to secure the booking. 30 days before the event start date, a non-refundable fee, equivalent to 1-night’s stay, will be charged to the credit card on file. Delegates are encouraged to book in advance as availability closer to the Conference date is not guaranteed.
When you book your accommodation your credit card details will be transferred to the hotel. 30 days before the event start date, a non-refundable fee, equivalent to 1-night’s stay, will be charged to the credit card on file, you will be charged for the remainder upon check-in.
Please email Leishman Associates to cancel or change your accommodation prior to the Conference.
Reservations require a valid credit card to secure the booking. 30 days before the event start date, a non-refundable fee, equivalent to 1-night’s stay, will be charged to the credit card on file.
For new bookings made within 30 days of arrival, full payment will be taken by the hotel once the registration is received.
Rooms cancelled prior to 30 days of the arrival date will incur a 1-night cancellation fee.
Rooms cancelled within 30 days of the arrival date will incur 100% cancellation fee, as will no show rooms.
Cancellation and Disclaimer
You may cancel your conference registration, by notifying us by email. If you do not receive an acknowledgement by email within two business days, please contact Leishman Associates on (03) 6234 7844.
You will only be entitled to a refund or partial refund as set out below:
Your cancellation – if you cannot attend because it is unlawful (eg, covid-19)
If you are unable, or will, with certainty, be unable, to attend this Event for the reason that it is unlawful for you to travel to the venue or would be legally required to submit to quarantine or “lock-down”:
- You must notify us by email and provide particulars of the reason you cannot attend. You may notify us at any time before the commencement of the Event;
- If we accept the reasons given, and:
- there is an on-line/virtual option to attend, and you tell us that you wish to attend by that means, you must pay the registration fee for on-line/virtual attendance. If you have already paid the registration fee in full, we will refund the difference; or
- there is no option to attend by on-line/virtual means, or if you notify us that you do not wish to attend by that means, we will refund all monies actually received from you to the date of your notice.
Your cancellation – for other reasons
The following applies if you wish to cancel your attendance at the Event for any reasons other than those noted above:
- If you notify us by email before 5pm on the date that is 60 days before the Event commences, you must pay a cancellation fee of AUD $150.00 (including GST) and if, when you give us that notice, you have paid more than that sum, we will refund the balance; or.
- If you notify us by email before 5pm on the day that is 30 days before the Event commences, you must pay one half of the full cost of your registration (plus GST). If, when you give us that notice, you have paid more than that sum, we will refund the balance; and
- You may cancel your registration after 5pm on the date that is 30 days before the Event commences, but you will not be entitled to a refund.
The Host (and Leishman Associates, as the agent of the Host) may cancel or postpone the Event at any time, for any reason. We will notify you by email if any of the foregoing occurs.
- If the Event is cancelled, we will refund all monies paid to date;
- If the Event is postponed, and you tell us that you cannot or do not wish to attend on the new date, you may cancel your registration by notice to us by email. If you tell us that you wish to attend on the new date, we will retain the monies you have paid as your registration Fee for the Event as postponed. If you do not notify us that you wish to attend the Event as postponed within the period we specify when we give you notice of postponement, your registration will be cancelled unless we otherwise agree in writing, and we will refund all monies paid to date.
- If the Event is converted to fully on-line/virtual Event, (and you have not, initially, registered to attend as an on-line/virtual attendee) you may cancel your registration by notice to us by email and we will refund all monies paid to date.
- If you tell us that you wish to attend as an on-line/virtual attendee, we will refund the difference between the full (face-to-face) fee and the fee applicable to on-line/virtual attendance.
- If you do not notify us that you wish to attend the Event as an on-line/virtual attendee within the period we specify when we give you notice of conversion, your registration will be cancelled unless we otherwise agree in writing, and we will refund all monies paid to date.
All intellectual property rights of the event, and all materials distributed at or in connection with the event is owned by the Host, Leishman Associates, Sponsors, &/or Speakers presenting at the event. Participants may not use, reproduce or allow anyone to use or reproduce any trademarks or other trade names appearing at the conference, content, or in any materials distributed at or in connection with the Conference for any reason without the prior written permission from the Host.
No part of the event may be recorded, reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronically or mechanically, including but not limited to video or audio recording, photography, photocopying or any other information storage or retrieval system known now or in the future, without the explicit written permission of the Host.
AGTA reserves the right to amend or alter any advertised details relating to dates, program and speakers if necessary, without notice, as a result of circumstances beyond their control. All attempts have been made to keep any changes to an absolute minimum.
